Edward Stohr, 91 ... Edward Stohr, son of John and Grace (Alphs) Stohr, was born May 20, 1912 in Winnebago County. He attended Grant Township Country School in Winnebago County. On January 27, 1938 he was united in marriage to Grace Bruns at Woden. Thecouple made their home on a farm near Elmore, Minnesota, later moving to a farm in rural Titonka for five years and finally moved to their home place in rural Woden. Ed and Grace retired from farming in 1982. ..." <>

"Grace S. Stohr, 87

Funeral services for Grace S. Stohr, 87, were held Monday, November 1, at 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Titonka with Rev. Virtus Stoffregen officiating. Interment was at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Titonka.

Anita Eden was the organist and LeRoy Brans and Jeff Hawthorne were soloists. The congregation participated in the singing of hymns. Casketbearers were Jeff Hawthorne, Jim Korsa, Gene Uken, Kevin Christensen, Joea Korte, Tony Buns, andBrent Gavin.

Grace Sedena Stohr, daughter of Bruno and Englena (Troff) Bruns, was born April 16, 1912 in German Township, Iowa.

On January 27, 1938, Grace was united in marriage to Edward Stohr. Together they farmed and raised a family near Woden. They retired in 1982.

Grace was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Titonka. She"

"loved her flower garden, enjoyed crocheting and she cherished her family and grandchildren.

She became a resident of Timely Mission Nursing Home in Buffalo Center in September of 1998. Grace passed away there on Thursday, October 28, 1999 at the age of 87.

Grace is survived by her husband, Ed of Woden; three daughters, Blame Christenson and her husband, Ronald of Emmetsburg; Sharon Uken and her husband, George of Titonka; Thelma Meyering and her husband, Rusty of Woden; six grandchildren,twelve great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lena Harringa of Britt, Gertie Stohr of Britt and Tressa Beenken of Buffalo Center and by one brother, Bruno Bruns, Jr. and his wife, Frances of Britt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters; Etta Mayland, Jennie Korte and Johanna Brans and two brothers; Walbert Bruns and John Bruns." <>
