"Forest City Rite For G. B. Heyer

Following an extended Illness, Bernard G. Heyer died Thursday, January 2 at a Mason City hospital. He had been an employee at the Forest City Bakery until becoming ill six months ago. Mr. Heyer was born November 26, 1918, In Hamiltoncounty near Kamrar, the son of Conrad and Anna Huisman Heyer. He recelved his education in the Kamrar community schools and was engaged in farming with his father. In 1943 the family moved to a farm near Woden where they farmed until1954 when the family moved to Forest City where he resided until the time of his death.

Survivors include his father, Conrad Heyer of Forest City, and two sisters, Lila Heyer of Forest City an'd Mrs. Albert (Mildred) Cordes of Buffalo Center. He was preceded in death by his mother November 25, 1967. Funeral services for Mr.Heyer were held Monday, January 6 at the Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Hough and the Rev. Edward Woltzen officiating. John and Orrin Torkelson brought comfort in music with Mrs. Ralph Johnson organist. Burial was InMadison township cemetery with Merlin Downes, Vernon Gray, Floyd Huisman, Harvey Johnson, Richard Johnson and Lawrence Thompson as casket bearers. The Olson-Petersen funeral home was in charge." <>
