Patricia Ann (Peterson) Calmer, 69, of Fort Dodge, died surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Trinity Regional Medical Center after a long illness.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.

Patricia was born August 14, 1943 in Fort Dodge. On August 15, 1965 she was united in marriage to Calvin Eugene Calmer. The couple had four children, Rose (Otis) Johnson of Fort Dodge, Clair (Clarissa) Calmer of Manson, Teresa Peterson and Nathan Calmer, both of Fort Dodge; 6 grandchildren, Troy Smith, Hannah Smith, Kady Calmer, Elizabeth Calmer, Tara Johnson and Dillon Johnson. She is also survived by her siblings Thomas (Marcella) Peterson of Denver, CO, Joyce Peterson, Velma Peterson and Beth (Dennis) Eberle, all of Fort Dodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents Marion and Rose Peterson, her husband's parents Clair and Alvena Calmer, her brother Alvin Peterson and brother-in-law Cameron Calmer and son-in-law Jim Peterson.

Patricia was a nurse's assistant for many years at Friendship Haven and Glencroft in Phoenix, AZ. She was a loving wife and mother who touched the lives of everyone she met.

Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.
