Betty J. Hill (Peterson), age 81, passed away on Thursday Dec. 29, 2011 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2012 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home with the Reverend Bob Henkelman officiating. The visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Monday. Betty was born in Lehigh, IA on November 22, 1930 to James and Engelena Peterson. The family moved to Fort Dodge where she later married William A. Hill. William passed away in October of 2009. Betty loved spending time with her family and tending to her flowers. She was a devout Christian and very loyal to her family, friends and church.

Betty is survived by her daughter Shelly (Michael Jacobson) of Fort Dodge; granddaughters Kayla Treloar of Iowa City, IA and Sarah (Lee) Trask of Ames, IA; and many loving nieces and nephews who meant the world to her. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Engelena as well as all five siblings; brothers Marion and Franklin; sisters Freda Righi, Sara Mae Lumsden and Vernabelle Johnson. The family is together once again.
