"Viola Gray Nov. 14, 1923 - Aug. 24, 2014

Viola Gray, 90, of Titonka, died Sunday, August 24, 2014, at the Titonka Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014 (today) at the Ramsey Reformed Church, Titonka. visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Buffalo Township Cemetery.

Viola was born in rural Titonka on Nov. 14, 1923, to Henry and Grace (Huisman) Gray. She was the second youngest of eight children growing up. Viola attended Titonka rural school, completing the 8th grade.

After school she helped at home with housekeeping and other chores around the farm. Viola was hard working. She spent a lot of time in the garden and mowing. Viola also loved to crochet and to bake. She was also a wonderful caregiverto her parents and brother Henry Jr. "Hank".

Viola is survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Grace Gray, brothers; Henry Gray Jr., Fred Gray, Leonard Gray, Elmer Gray, Mervin Gray, two infant brothers; Folkert and Arnold Gray; sisters, Dorothy Gray and Irene Ubben;brother-in-law, John Ubben; sisters-in-law, Jennie, Iva, Kate and Iona.

Arrangements are being handled by Oakcrest Funeral Services of Titonka. Online condolences may be left at www.oakcrestfuneralservices.com."
