Lois was a high school graduate, a wife, mother and homemaker. She had been a member of Grace Lutheran Church since 1965. She married Milton Teigen in 1946, becoming a military wife. Her husband, Milton, retired from the U.S. Air Force.

Lois is survived by two sons, both of Kingman, Michael (Cynthia) Teigen and Greg (Ruthie) Teigen; a sister, Grace Bosma (age 102!) of Buffalo Center; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband,Milton Teigen; her sisters, Wilma Stewart, Jenny Grothe and Elvera Hansen; and by her parents, Oltman and Gertie Akkerman.

The service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 14, at Grace Lutheran Church, 2101 Harrison St. Following the service, interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery, 1301 Stockton Hill Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to GraceLutheran Church Endowment Fund in the name of Lois Teigen.
