Lid van het dagelijks bestuur van de commissie tot handhaving van de spelling de Vries en te Winkel. 1909 tot 01.10.1939 redacteur rubriek Wetenschappen van het Algemeen Handelsblad te Amsterdam. Ridder in de Orde van Oranje Nassau.
