Although I am not certain at this time, The obit for Jennie Margaret Sleper gives the name of her father as George Rippentrop. Could this be the same George Rippentrop?

George J. Rippentrop was born one mile north of Titonka (now the Robert Boekelman farmstead) on March 1, 1892. He received his

grade school education in the German Valley School. He continued to live on the home place after his marriage to Anna Swalve on October 15, 1914. Anna was born in Germany and immigrated to America at the age of ten. To this union ninechildren were born. The older children received their education in the German Valley School. The family had membership in the Ramsey Reformed Church.
In March of 1931 the family moved to a farm one mile west, but continued to work the land on the two farms. Shortly after moving tragedy marked this young family. July 9 of that year the thirty-six year old mother died after givingbirth to her ninth child. The surviving children ranged in ages from two to sixteen years of age.
Life was not easy for the family, but through years of continued effort and faith by this young father, the cooperation of the older children and with the aid of hired girls, the family remained together.
The children continued their education in the Titonka school and also became active in their church, school and community. George eventually purchased the farm they were living on, continuing to farm until his death September 17, 1966.
Following are the names of the children and their spouses:
John S., married Della Meyer, lives in Titonka.
Ray, married Harriet Sleper. Ray died September 28, 1978. Harriet lives in Titonka.
Jim, married Dorothy Gruis, lived at Buffalo Center. He died March 23, 1961.
Edgar, lived at St. Paul, Minnesota. He died March 5, 1976.
Jennie, married Albert, 'Bo', Sleper. She died June 11, 1995.
Irene, married Alvin Gray, lives at Chili, Wisconsin.
Iola, married Vernon Gray, lives at Kanawha, Iowa. Vernon died February 15, 1992.
Irvin, lived at San Pedro, California. He died December 28, 1963.'
