Notes about Aaldert (Alberto) Nijborg

Op 10-jarige leeftijd emigreerde Aaldert met zijn ouders naar Chili. Hij woonde in 1918 in Punta Arenas en was herder op een landgoed in Pechet.
Later was hij ijzersmid op de werkplaats Minerva. In 1939 ging hij naar Los Angeles (Verenigde Staten), waar hij een varkensfokkerij aankocht. Vervolgens is hij naar Talca (Chili) verhuisd en heeft daar het beroep van herder (tot 1944) weer opgepakt. Hij woonde een tijdje in St. Barnard (Chili) en stierf in 1957 te Santiago. Zijn hele leven heeft hij de Nederlandse nationaliteit behouden.
