    de Rademarkt loopt van het Gedempte Zuiderdiep tot de Verlengde Oosterstraat. Het was een weerplein en wagenplein bij de voormalige nieuwe Oosterpoort. Waarschijnlijk genoemd naar de stel- en wagenmakers die er hun beroep uitoefenden. Een zijgang is de Klinkhamersgang.
    Op nr.12 is het hoofdbureau Regiopolitie Groningen in 1971 gebouwd op een terrein waarop voorheen de Battengang (ged.), Molenstraat en Veulsgang waren gelegen. Op nr. 29 is in 1517 het St. Anthony- of Oosterpoortengasthuis gebouwd. Tot 1644 ook pest- en ziekenhuis en van 1701 tot 1844 ook dolhuis.
