    Battengang
    De Battengang is gelegen tussen de Steentilstraat en de Kostersgang. De straat is genoemd naar de gebroeders Battinck, bewoners van de hoekpercelen met de Steentilstraat (1553). Ook wel Battingegang. De Battengang liep voorbij de Kostersgang tot 1971 (bouw Politiebureau) nog door tot de voormalige Veulsgang.
    Aan de Battengang was van 1668 tot 1939 het Vrouw Fransens- of Geertjen Schiltsgasthuis gelegen. Dit pand is in 1969 overgebracht naar het Openluchtmuseum Het Hoogeland in Warffum.
