Jurrien is geboren in maart 1723 en gedoopt op 28 maart 1723 in Lieroord. Maar hij heeft ook, evenals Annigjen, gewoond aan de Prinsenstraat in Groningen. Zijn ouders worden dan vermeld als Jan Jurriens en Dorothea Jans.
Annigjen is geboren aan de Prinsenstraat en gedoopt op 4 januari 1728 in de Martinikerk in Groningen.
In het Ondertrouwboek Groningen 1739-1747, folio 198 staat de registratie vermeld van het voorgenomen huwelijk van Jurrien Jans, van 't Huis te Noadt (Noordlaren), tamboer onder de Compagniij van de Capitein Matthiae, met Annegjen Jurrien, van Groningen; de registratie voor Annegjen wordt gedaan door de schoutsdienaar Jurrien Voorsmit als vader. Het huwelijk wordt voltrokken op 12 januari 1745 door ds Noordbeek in de Martinikerk in Groningen.
