They have named her Lori Maire and she has two sisters, LuAnn and Sheryl and two brothers, Gary and Douglas. Mrs Aukes isthe former Betty Hauskins. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Hauskins of Red Oak and Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Aukes. ..."

"Sheryl Jean (Aukes) Wilbur

Sheryl Jean (Aukes) Wilbur of LeCenter, MN and fromerly of Buffalo Center passed away peacefully June 18, 2013 in LeCenter. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 29 at the First Congregarional church in BuffaloCenter, with Pastor Brad DeBries officiating. Refreshments will be served after the service with time for visitation and sharing memories.

Sheryl was born January 22, 1950 in Buffalo Center to Raymond and Betty (Hauskins) Aukes. Ssheryl was baptized at the First Congregational Church in Buffalo Center. She attended Sunday school and Youth Group and accepted Christ as hersavior as a teen during a youth meeting.

Sheryl graduated from Buffalo Center High School in 1968 and then attended Spencer School of Buriness. She moved to Wichita, KS and lived there for almost 30 years; raising her three children and spoiling her grandchildren. Whe workedfor several years at the bakery, Sugar N Spice Donuts.

Sheryl loved to cook, and her family and friends raved about her home-made dishes. She also enjoyed camping and going to the lake. Sheryl moved back to Iowa in 1998 and last resided at Central Health Care in LeCenter, MN, where sheenjoyed day adventures and the friendship of many of the staff and residents.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Pamela (Au8kes) Flores of Wichita, KS, Jerry Aukes of Wichita, KS and Eric Aukes of Wichita, KS; her father, Ray Aukes of Buffalo Center; siblings: Gary (Orva) Aukes of Paysoon, AZ, Doug (Deb)Aukes of Buffalo Center, LuAnn (Kevin) Johnson of Coon Rapids, MN, Ron Aukes (devoted friend Kim) of Buffalo Center; two grandsons, two granddaughters and five great grandchildren.

Sheryl is preceded in death by her mother, Betty, and her sister Lori Giesking.

Winter funeral Home in Buffalo Center is assisting the family with arrangements."
