"Richard J. Meyering

Funeral services for Richard Jerry Meyering, 38, of Buffalo Center were held Tuesday, December 11, 1979 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Buffalo Center with Rev. Randy Paugh officiating. Winter Funeral Service was in chargeof arrangements and interment was in Olena Mound Cemetery. Richard died at his home Saturday, December 8, from an apparent heart attack.

Pallbearers were Sherman Meyering, Larry Meyering, Timmy Meyering, Tony Meyering, Gary Folkerts, David Folkerts, Dennis Folkerts and Ricky Folkerts. Mrs. Vera Bronleewe was the organist and accompanied singers Mr. and Mrs. DonaldMiller.

Richard Jerry Meyering was born at Buffalo Center, Iowa to Tony Meyering and Annie (Brass) Meyering on February 19, 1941. He made his home in Buffalo Center most of his natural life.

Richard was baptized at the age of 13 at the Ellis Point Methodist Church at Thompson, Iowa.

He went to country school at"

"Eden Township # 4. He was employed at Buffalo Center until his death.

He is survived by his mother, Annie Meyering; two brothers, Fred Meyering of Thompson and Johnnie Meyering of Clear Lake, and three sisters, Everdina Folkerts of Thompson, Annie Wepel of Buffalo Center and Fannie Smidt of Lake Mills; 21nieces and nephews and 12 greatnieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tony Meyering and one brother-in-law, Harold Berven." <>
