Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Ricks, 72, who passed away Wednesday, December 26 at the Timely Mission Nursing Home in Buffalo Center, were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 29 at the Ramsey Reformed Church with the Rev. John Janssen officiating. Music for the service was provided by Mrs. Richard Beenken, organist, and Mrs. Vern Rafdal, Mrs. Herman Ubben, Mrs. John Janssen and Mrs. Roger Rippentrop, singers.

Serving as casket attendants were Dennis Dressman, John R. Sleper, Roger Tjarks, Richard Beenken, John Cordes and Herman Tjarks. Interment was in the Ramsey Reformed Cemetery. Blake Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Martha Ricks was born November 18, 1907 at Buffalo Center, the daughter of Heiko and Henrietta (Johns) Adams. She was married to William Stroebel, who preceded her in death in 1941, on October 6, 1938. Then, on December 27, 1956, she was married to George Ricks at the Ramsey Reformed Church, rural Titonka.

She is survived by her husband, George; one son, Marvin Stroebel of Titonka; on daughter, Mrs. Donald (Doris) Brozie of Hibbing, Minn., four grandchildren and one brother, Marion Adams of Buffalo Center.

Preceding her in death were her husband, William, an infant son, two sisters and one brother."
