Anna Florence Honken, daughter of Sidney and Anna (Okken) Green, was born in Winnebago County on July 24, 1900. She graduated from Buffalo Center High School in 1918. Anna attended Iowa Falls Teachers College and taught 11 years incountry schools in Winnebago and Kossuth counties.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Green who passed away suddenly Saturday afternoon, April 10, at | the home of her brother, Ernest i Okken of Grundy County, Iowa, ; were held Tuesday afternoon, April 13, at the local Baptist church with theRey. Peter Peters and Rev. Geo. Wolff in charge.

Interment was in Graceland cemetery. ... On March 9, 1892, she was married to Mr. Sydney Green and they moved on a farm in this vicinity. Four daughters and one son were born to them, the son, Sydney John, died in 1917. Also her husband preceeded her in death exactly twentytwoyears to the day. ..."

Organist was Jan Missman and pianist was Greia Aukes. Vocalists were Walter Aukes and Bruce Wubben and the congregation participated in the singing of hymns. Honorary casketbearers were Sidney Wubben, Joe Wubben, Ray Smoley, Frank Ullnann, Marvin Heyes and Howard Jocobmeyer. Casketbearers were Thomas Shirer, Marvin Nieman, Harvey Hugo, Johnic Wells. Kevin Peterson, and Mike Heyes.

"School and was active in Women's Fellowship at the First Congregational Church while she lived in Buffalo Center.

After entering the nursing home, she continued to enjoy family and friends mid activities at the Home. She especially enjoyed Bible Study mid the weekly worship service. Anna enjoyed the friendship of people at any age. She also servedas President of Resident Council and was a member of the home choir. Anna had accepted the gift of faith in Jesus and knew the powers of prayer mid that is what made her an extraordinary person who could touch the lives of so manypeople.

Anna passed away on Thursday, September 25, 1997 at the Parker Oaks Home in Winnebago, Minnesota.

She will be missed by her family: a son, Clyde, and his wife, Regina, of Buffalo Center; a daughter, Gloria Hensel, and her husband, Richard, of Big Lake, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildrenand several step-great-grandchildren.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John in 1987; one daughter, Sadie Nieman; one son, Ernest; daughter-in-law, Marie; two grandchildren; one greatgranddaughter; three sisters: Sadena Cline; Henrietta Slratman; GraceWubben; and a brother Sidney. <>
