"RITES HELD FOR MRS. MAGGIE TROFF

Mrs. Maggie Troff, daughter of John and Henrietta Groen, was born in Germany on October 16th, 1872. She came to this country with her parents when she was a small child. (They first settled in Grundy County, later moving to Kossuth.After her marriage to Menno Troff, they resided in Winnebago County. To this union two children were born, John of Woden, and Hattie of Cherokee"

"at Cherokee where she passed away on February 22nd, 1947. She had attained the age of 74 years, 4 months, and 6 days.

Funeral services were held at the iSchutter and Son Funeral Home in i Buffalo Center on Wednesday, February 26th at 1:30 p. m., followed Iwith services at the Presbyterian , Church at Woden, conducted by Rev. Albert Kingler. Interment wasmade !in Bingham Township Cemetery, Woden, Iowa.

Her husband preceded her in death in May 1940.

She leaves to mourn a son, John, a daughter, Hattie, and a brother, John Groen of Woden, Iowa, besides many relatives and friends.

Relatives from a distance attending the funeral were Mrs. Aletha ; Groen, Rock Rapids, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. John Groen, Mr.' and Mrs. Delmar Groen and children, Sibley, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dreesen and son, Dick, Luverne, Iowa; Mr. andMrs. Otto DeBeer, Ellsworth, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Van Anken, Little Rock.
