McLennon Wright was admitted to the Primitive Baptist Church. In July, 1855 theMill Branch church was chartered and McLennon Wright and his wife Sarah Jane Williams Wright were charter members. Elder McLennon Wright was the initial clerk.

Page 374. says he is buried in the Meares Cemetery in the Vingegar Hill area on the county road from Vinegar Hill to Mill Branch Church. A death year of 1899 is listed.
