He married secondly Annie Price and had one daughter Maude. He was son of Stephen Sr. and Amelia Ann Fowler Wright
His cousin Balzura Wright Porter , d/o Simpson bought
part of his inherited land where he raised his first
children, and he moved over to highway 904. When Steve
was old and sick, Balzura (Wright, Porter) sent Loula (Porter, Watts) down to stay with
Maude and help her. People remembered Steve for putting
his face to the wall when company came in , and he did
not want to talk with them. The children made up a
song about Uncle Steve.
Pvt. N.C. Co. A. Capt. McDougal ... Wilming(ton)-Garrison
Steve's son Fleet Cooper, named for brother Fleet was
born 14 August 1862 ... This Fleet was leader of Mill
Branch Primitive Baptist Church and a magistrate.
