Na overlijden van haar echtgenoot Angisel, trok zij zich terug in de abdij van Nivelles, gesticht door haar moeder Itta met haar zuster Gertrude als eerste abdes, overleden in 660. Zij had een gelofte afgelegd een klooster te stichten en vond de eerste jonge vrouwen die haar wilden volgen te Nivelles, met hen bouwde ze het klooster van Andenne waar zij overleed.
