Friezendei, DE dei fan it Roomsk Frysk Boun. Elk jaar op 15 augustus kwamen veel jonge katholieke Friezen bij elkaar in Rijs. Of het nu de bedoeling was is niet bekend, maar er werden na afloop van zo'n Friezendei nogal wat koppeltjes gevormd. Ook Pé en Feronika, Vrony dus, zijn zo bij elkaar gekomen.
Net als Henk heeft Pé bij zijn vader en oom in het bedrijf gewerkt. Maar meer op kantoor dan op de weg. Hij nam het grootste deel van de leiding van het bedrijf van zijn vader over. Ook toen hij met broer Henk de Friesland-Twente-Dienst runde, bleef hij dit doen. Na de samenvoeging van de bedrijven, en na de overname door het Rotterdamse bedrijf S.B.S., is Pé directeur van het Bodecentrum in Alkmaar geworden. Pé en Vrony zijn desondanks altijd in Joure blijven wonen.
