Notes about Frank William Fioto

Frank was born at 540 Driggs Avenue, B'klyn, N.Y. He grew up in Ozone Park, Queens. Frank became an Executive for Clarostat Manufacturing Company which had a large plant in Williamsburg. The Plant moved to Dover New Hampshire and Frank moved as well. H worked with them until he retired. Frances work for the GE Corporation.

Sponsors at Frank's Baptism were Giovanni De Leo, his mother's brother. Maria Fioto, who was his father's sister and wife of Gabriel Vigorito.

Frank W. Fioto of Stark Avenue, Dover, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at the King James Care Center, Navesink, N.J.
Born in New York City, he attended Polytechnic University of New York. He had been a resident of Dover for 54 years, and was one of the original employees of Clarostat Manufacturing Company from New York, and worked in administration and engineering capacities until his retirement.

Frank was an active member of the community having served as chairman of the Zoning Board of Adjustment for seven years, Dover chairman for the election of Governor Walter Peterson, and he worked for the Republican party in many capacities during election campaigns.

He was a past officer of the Dover Exchange Club and director and past officer of the Cochecho Country Club and served on the Board of Directors of the Active Retirement Association of Durham.

He was an active member of St. Joseph Church, having served as an officer and chairman of the Parish Council. He was also an advisor for St. Joseph Catholic Youth Organization and served on the Dover Catholic Charities Drives.

He is survived by his wife Frances (Vivona) Fioto of Dover; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Peter Lardieri of Atlantic Highlands, N.J.; his grandson, Stephen Lardieri of Bellevue, Wash.; his grandson and granddaughter-in-law, David and Erica Lardieri of Raritan, N.J.; a great-granddaughter, Juliet Lardieri; his sister, Amelia Pepe of New York City; his brother, Frederick Fioto of Boynton Beach, Fla., and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, Dec. 1, at St. Joseph Church, Dover, with burial following in St. Mary New Cemetery.
