Notes about Jacob Wit


Jacob Wit (47-VI) is 55 jaar indienst geweest bij de gemeente Nieuwe Niedorp. Hij was het overgrote deel van deze periode gemeente secretaris. Daarnaast was hij werkzaam in vele andere functies in polderbesturen etc. Hij werd op 1-4-1879 op eigen verzoek eervol ontslagen met behoud van zijn salaris van F 300,- als pensioen. Daar heeft hij twee maanden van genoten. Rijk is hij nooit geworden, een overzicht van zijn nalatenschap laat dat duidelijk zien. Aan zijn vele functies naast die van gemeentesecretaris heeft hij dus niet veel overgehouden.
