Pieter werd timmermansknecht en ging in 1867 naar Wieringerwaard. Hij werd hier niet ingeschreven in het bevolkingsregister.
In een notariele akte met de erfenis van Jacob Wit (47-VI) staat te lezen dat Jacob Hovenier, de echtgenoot van zus Trijntje, Pieter vertegenwoordigde bij de notaris omdat Pieter in Mijdrecht was. In Mijdrecht is Pieter ook niet ingeschreven in het bevolkingsregister.

In de persoonskaarten kaarten in het bureau voor genealogie in Den Haag komt hij ook niet voor, deze kaarten beginnen in 1934 dus Bert is ervan uitgegaan dat Pieter voor deze datum is overleden. Er lijken geen afstammelingen van Pieter te zijn. (Bert acht dit tenmins te erg onwaarschijnlijk)
