    Scholastica Van de Veken, vischleurster, alhier wonende en er geboren, oud vijf en veertig jaren, dewelke ons vertoond heeft een kind van het vrouwgeslacht, alhier in haar bijwegen geboren den twinstigsten deze loopende maand mei om tien ure 's avonds, in hare woning in de Omegangstraat, wijk A N° 44 en aan hetwelk zij verklaart te geven den naam en de voornamen van Rochtus Philomena Rosalia, dat de moeder van het kind is Rochtus Philippina Joanna Francisca, vischleeurster, ongehuwd, oud een en twintig, geboren en wonende in deze gemeente.
    De voormelde vertooning en verklaring gedaan ter tegenwoordigheid van Jan Jozef Heymans, koster, oud twee en zestig jaren en Vergauwen Feliecaan Albert, lndbouwer, oud vijf ne twintig jaren, beiden alhier wonende.
    Waarvan akte, door ons ten Gemeentehuize in dubbel opgemaakt, en na voorlezing geteekend ter uitzondering van de verklaarster, die verklaerd ongeleerd te zijn en niet te kunnen naamtekenen

    Philomena Rosalia Rochtus, waarvan den akt van geboorte hiernaast staat is wettig gemaakt door het later huwelijk van haren vader en hare moeder Petrus Josephus Steenssens en Philippina Joanna Francisca Rochtus, heden voor ons aangegaan.
