    Alexander Steenssens, statiewerkman, oud veertig jaren geboren en woonachtig te Bornhem, welken ons vertoond heeft een kind van het mannelijk geslacht gisteren om negen uren des avonds geboren in deze gemeente van hem verklaarder en van zijne echtgenote Maria Elisabetha Van den bossche, oud zeven en dertig jaren, hier geboren en aan welk kind hij verklaard heeft te willen geven de voornaam van Achilles.
    De voormelde vertooning en verklaring gedaan ter tegenwoordigheid van Petrus Waumans statiewerkman oud veertig jaren en Franciscus Brys, herbergier, oud een en veertig jaren, beide woonachtig in deze gemeente.
    Waarvan akte ,door ons ten Gemeentehuize in dubbel opgemaakt, en na voorlezing geteekend met de vader en de getuigen

    Ten jare duizend acht honderd en tachtig, den twaalfden October ten tien ure voormiddag, verschenen voor ons Matheus Van Mierlo, schepen gedelegeerden Ambtenaar van den Burgerlijken Stand der gemeente Bornhem, provincie Antwerpen,
    Alexander Steenssens, statiewerkman, oud een en veertig jaren en Petrus Franciscus Waumans, wever, oud vijf en zestig jaren, beide woonachtig in deze gemeente, de eerstgenoemde vader van den overleden en den tweeden gebuur, welken ons hebben verklaard dat heden om zes uren des morgends in zijne ouders woning alhier overleden is Achilles Steenssens, geboren te Bornhem den achttienden december achttien honderd zes en tachtig en daar woonachtig, zoon van den eersten komparant Alexander Steenssens en van Maria Elisabetha Van den bossche beide in leven.
    Wij hebben ons van voormeld overlijden verzekerd. Waarvan akte, door ons ten Gemeente-huize in dubbel opgemaakt, en na voorlezing geteekend met de Komparanten.
