Henry De Mots
Sioux Center - Henry De Mots, 93, a Sioux Center dentist for 70 years, died Tuesday at a Spencer nursing home. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Central Reformed Church at Sioux Center. The Rev. Wesley Kiel officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery at Sioux Center with the Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. De Mots was born Dec. 13, 1883, in Douglas County, S.D. He moved with his parents to Sioux Center as a small boy. He attended Sioux Center schools and later studied dentistry at Iowa City. He married Alice Vander Zee April 13, 1906, at Sioux Center. Mrs. De Mots died June 29, 1968.

Survivors include two daughters, Verna De Mots of Los Angeles and Mrs. R.J. Yvonne) Halverson of Spencer, six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Rodenburg of Sioux Center and Mrs. Cora Muilenburg and Mrs. Gertrude Jelgerhuis, both of Orange City.
