She was born in the Netherlands on Feb. 28th, 1858, and came to the United States as a bride, early in the year 1883.The couple went first to New Holland, S.D., but soon came to Sioux Center where all of the seven children were born. There are nine grandchildren eight of whom were present at the funeral services on Monday. The eldest, the former Miss Verna De Mots, is married and resides in California.
Brief services were held at the home, followed by services at Central Ref. church, Where Rev. Keuning officiated, assisted by Rev. Dykstra. The three sons and three grandsons were pallbearers. Favorite hymns of Mrs. De Mots were played and sung during the service.
