'Their children were all born Pike Twp., 1. David Cole was born about 1835 according to the family, possibly a twin of Mary Ann. But the 1850 Census gives his age as 18 yrs which would make him born about 1832, and Mary Ann's age wasgiven as 15 years.'

If David were born in 1832, he would have been born in Harrison Co. OH.

There is a David Price & Orpha Cole in Pike Twp, Fulton Co OH 1900 census. My hypothesis is this David is the son of David Price Cole b. 1837. - D.A.Navorska 17 Aug 1997 - Irving TX.

I personally examined the 21 Aug 1850 Pike Twp Fulton Co OH Census, sheet 298 B & found David Cole's age to be clearly 13, not 15. If the census age is correct, then David is born between 22 Aug 1836 and 21 Aug 1837.

There is a descrepency between David Price Cole & David Cole, the son of Thomas. The 1850 census David was living with a father born in MD & a mother born in PA. David Price Cole has parents born in OH & Germany respectively. SarahSalsberry Cole is from a PA Dutch [German] family.

A son, named Lemuel Viers Cole, gives credence to the possibility that David Price Cole is the son of Sarah Salsberry Cole. Sarah's sister, Rebecca, married John Viers.
