Mr. Tuttle writes, "5-1. MORDECAI COLE was born about 1775-1780 in Maryland and died in the latter part of 1813 in Jefferson County, Ohio. Mordecai married Ruth Price 11/10/1800, probably in Maryland. Children: ... 6-6. THOMAS COLE wasborn 1810. ..."

Thomas J. (b. 1807) & Sarah M. (Salsberry) Cole named one of their children David Price Cole. David was 13 on the 1850 census, not 15 as published by Mrs. Vashti.

The coincidence of the name PRICE is strong enough, combined with the data supplied by Mr. Tuttle, to attach our Thomas to Mordecai Cole.
