Emma married Walter Theodore Murrer 10 December 1919 in Rocky River, Ohio. Emma and Walter had two children. A son, Walter T Murrer (1922-2001) and a daughter, Elizabeth E. Walsh Murrer (b. 26 Oct 1920 died 29 Oct 1920) Elizabeth is buried in Lakewood Cemetery by her grandparents James Walsh and Elizabeth Bowles Walsh.

Emma was a member of the Eastern Star.
