Karl Meijer emigrated with his brother, Hindirk "Hank", aboard the ship "Stuttgart" from port Bremenhaven on 17 Mar 1925.

According to Carl Meyer, he worked in Germany for the father of Japwit(sp?) Bauerman Grossfeld. Later, JBG was, according to Carl M., a secretary of agriculture in the National Socialist régime.

When I was looking for information about Klaas, I found out a few things you may not know. Klaas and his brother Carl must have made a trip back to Germany. They arrived in New York on 12 March 1931, on the Breman. The name and address of their nearest relative was: "Father, Wilh. Meyer, Bunderhammrich, EASTFRSLD." The date of their last departure from the USA was 25 Nov 1930. On 17 Oct 1949, Klaas and Anna arrived in New York on the Noordam. They must have been to Germany to visit their relatives.
