Notes about Harmina Wilhelms Meier

Harmina Wilhelms Meijer / Meyer / Meier

Sources: Author: Wilbers, Harmina (Fokken); Title: Fokken Stammbaum, (Publication site: Tichelwarf, Niedersachsen, Publisher: HFW, Publication date: ca. MCMLXXXVI)

The Fokken Stammbaum uses the spelling, Meyer; however, it is common with the Dutch to convert ij to y. This was the case with Harmina's nephews. The older tombstones have 'Meijer' but everyone now uses 'Meyer'.

The Fokken Stammbaum was received from Jan Holthius in Sept MCMLXXXVII.

Harmina's father, Wilhelm Meijer, was married twice. According to the d.c. of her 1/2 brother, Karl Meijer, Karl's mother is Johanna Krüethoff. According to Carl Meyer né Karl Meijer, the name of Wilhelm's 2nd wife is Katarina Krüethoff, but according to the Fokken Stammbaum, her name is Katarina Meyer.

Fokken Stammbaum spells Weiner instead of Weener.

Fokken Stammbaum gives Holland instead of Netherlands; however, I do not think the Holland province of the Netherlands is meant. I believe Holland is used for the name of the whole nation.

Kries Leer means the territory controlled by Leer.
