"John Molendorp Dies Suddenly Thursday While Raking Leaves

John Molendorp, 68, died unexpectedly Thursday morning while raking leaves at his farm home near Allendorf. Death was due to a heart attack.

Services were held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the Evangelical United Brethren Church at Allendorf, with Rev. Clifford Kile of George in charge. Burial was in the Sibley cemetery, with the Walton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He was born March 2, 1898 at Wellsburg, Iowa, and came to Osceola County with his parents in 1903.

He was married to Grace Dirks December 16, 1921 at Sibley. They were the parents of one son, Arnold.

They farmed near Allendorf until the time of his passing.

He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church at Allendorf.

Survivors include his widow, Grace; a son, Arnold, of Sibley; four brothers, Pete, Martin and Herman of Sibley and Conrad, of Ocheyedan; two sisters, Mrs. Tena Gross of Superior; and Mrs. Gertie Brody of Allendorf. He also leaves three grandchildren."
