Text of obituary for Albertus Mulder from the Norway Luth. Chr., Glenham, SD:

"[photograph of a man working on a tractor. Caption: Albertus Mulder]
ALBERTUS MULDER
Mr. and Mrs. Albertus Mulder farmed in Franklin township. An auto accident on October 12, 1920 resulted in the death of Mrs. Mulder, nee Maggie Wientjes. It occurred on the bottom west road of Mound City when Mulder's Buick containing the entire family, turned over. Some cattle were on the road near a bridge at the foot of a steep hill. While honking the horn, Mr. Mulder lost control of the car and it ran off the bridge, turning over in a mudhole. The four little girls in the back were not injured. Mr. Mulder was caught in the car and got out to help the girls and then got Mrs. Mulder out. Both Mr. and Mrs. Mulder's heads were in the water and mud. Mrs. Mulder inhaled so much mud and water that pneumonia resulted and she died in Mobridge. Her body was shipped to Sheldon, Iowa.

After the accident Mr. Mulder sold his farm, known as the Pekelder place and he moved to Mound City, where he drove the stage for four years. After which he moved back to a farm known as the Gjefle place and a farm east of Shelby until 1932 at which time he gave up farming and went back to Iowa, where he did odd jobs until he became ill in 1944 and came back to Mobridge, and made his home with his daughters, (Mrs. Bauman and Mrs. Tatro) until the time of his death. Three of his four daughters survive him:
Mrs. John Richmond (Ann)
Mrs. Cal Bauman (Ione) deceased
Mrs. Wesley Ferdinandsen (Florence)
Mrs. Milton Tatro (Cleo)"
