M. Lavonne Strauch, 89, Benson, passed away at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday (March 11, 2014) at Snyder Village, Metamora.

She was born Oct. 12, 1924 in Benson to Conard and Florence Linnenmann Yount. She married Harold Strauch in February 1946 in Benson. He passed away June 14, 1983 in Benson. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Casey Strauch; son-in-law, Chuck Kearfott; two brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are one son, Gregory (Sandra) Strauch; two daughters, Mary Kearfott and Juanita (Arnold) Ahrens; one brother, Lynn Yount; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

She worked for Caterpillar and she was a school bus driver, a Fuller Brush representative and a wonderful homemaker.
