Wayne James Aden was born on April 17, 1966, in Milbank, SD, the son of James and Evelyn (Bohlen) Aden. He graduated from Milbank High School in 1984. Wayne moved to Hutchinson, KS, in 1996, and Ottawa, KS, in 1999.

Wayne was united in marriage to Jacki Maxwell at Ottawa, KS, on September 26, 1998. Wayne owned and operated Finish Line Steak House from 1999-2001. From 2002-04, he was employed by Wal-mart Distribution Center and as a truck driver for Builder's Choice Concrete, both of Ottawa. At the time of his death Wayne was warehouse coordinator for A and M Products Manufacturing in Spring Hill, KS.

Wayne was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Milbank. He was an avid fan of NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Wayne loved his sons dearly. He loved to make people laugh. Wayne was always happy and jolly. He never talked about his health. Wayne was a very accomplished cook. He also enjoyed landscaping.

Survivors include his wife, Jacki, Ottawa, KS; three sons, Justin Aden, Watertown, SD; Christian and Logan Aden, both of Ottawa; his parents, Jim and Evelyn Aden, Milbank; one brother Larry Aden and wife Sheryl, White Bear Lake, MN; two sisters, Glenda Bohn and husband Danny, Milbank; and Wendy Boerger and husband Luke, rural Milbank; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral services for former Milbank, SD, resident, Wayne James Aden, age 39, of Spring Hill, Kansas, will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2005, in the American Lutheran Church in Milbank with the Reverend N. Craig Werling and the Reverend Janine Rew-Werling officiating. Wayne died on Thursday, November 17, 2005, in the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas, of an apparent heart attack. The organist and soloist will be Carol Ydstie. Family members are asked to meet in the church chapel by 10:00 a.m. Wednesday to attend services. Visitation will be at the Emanuel-Patterson Funeral Home in Milbank on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue in the church on Wednesday one hour before services. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews and nieces. Active pallbearers will be Doug Aden, Duane Prisinger, David Hoffman, Jason Konstant, Todd Wold, and Mark Knight. Burial will be in the Milbank City Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Aden Children's Education Fund, c/o Dengel and Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory Street, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
