Mrs. Doris Bohlen
Doris Bohlen, 82, corona, died April 29, 1986, in St. Bernard's Providence Hospital, Milbank. The funeral service was conducted Saturday, May 3 at 2 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Corona, with the Rev. Harold R. Hintzman officiating. The organist was Mrs. Corrine Hanson. Interment was in the Kilborn Lutheran Cemetery, Corona.

Active pallbearers were her grandsons: Harlan Wenck, Delton Hanson, Duane Prisinger, Larry Aden, Don DeGreef and Steve Bohlen.

Doris Marie Sophia Bohlen, daughter of Ego and Sophia (Nordmier) Harms, was born on October 31, 1903 in Wellsburg, Iowa. She attended Garfield Township Number Five county school. Doris married George J. Bohlen February 27, 1923, in Dempster, SD. The couple lived two years in Estelline, and moved to a farm east of Corona in 1925 where they lived for 37 years. They moved from the farm to a home in Corona on 1962. Her husband George died in 1969.

Doris was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Corona. She was preceded in death by one son, George, two daughters, Annette, Mrs. Howard Wenck, and Shirley, Mrs. Dale Ladiwg; two sisters, Martha Benting and Mary Tietjen and five brothers, Fred, Ibling, Eddie (maybe Eggo, Jr?), Henry and William Harms.

She is survived by two sons, Ervin, Corona, SD, and Alvin, Brookings, SD; four daughters, Elsie, Mrs. Daniel Hanson, Sr., and Luellea, Mrs. Charles DeGreef, both of Wilmot, SD and Edna, Mrs. Leo Prisinger and Evelyn, Mrs. James Aden, both of Milbank, SD; 31 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Katie Osterloh, Wilmot, SD and Mrs. Lydia Poel, Corona, SD.
