BLUE EARTH - David Winter, 65, of Blue Earth, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015. A funeral service will be held at the Covenant Church in Fairmont. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth.

David William Winter was born June 15, 1950, in Blue Earth, Minn., to Evelyn and Arvil Winter. He graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1968. He then studied plumbing and graduated from Jackson Vocational School. David served our country for six years with the U.S. Army National Guard. He also worked at Midland Co-op for a few years. David then farmed with his father, which brought him great joy.

In 1972, David married the love of his life, Karen Diane (Holland) Winter. In 1975, they gave birth to their daughter, Stephanie Winter. David loved to be around his family and friends. His goal in life was to make people smile and laugh. He enjoyed farming, music, cars, motorcycle trips with his favorite bud, Marty, drag racing, playing cards, and great/questionable humor. David went home to the Lord surrounded by family and his best friend.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Stephanie Winter; her husband, Asela Wijeratne; step-granddaughter, Lauren; and many good friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Winter; his mother and father, Evelyn and Arvil Winter; two sisters, Sharon McCarthy and Marlys Winter; and many beloved family members
