Without naming him, the obiit of Esther Alvey indicates Harold died before Esther. Esther died 25 Jan 1995.

Harold A. Heitland, 69, of Buffalo Center died Sunday, January 5, 1992 at North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, January 8 at 10:30 a.m. at First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center with Rev.William Peake officiating. Interment was in Olena Mound Cemetery with Winter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Marlene Krull was the organist and Alroy and Marlene Krull sang. There was also congregational singing. Casketbearers were Jerry Alvey, Terry Heitland, Jim Heitland, David Heitland, Tim Heitland and Jeff Heitland.
Harold A. Heitland was born November 2, 1922 to George Sr. and Harmka (Pastour) Heitland at Buffalo Center.
He attended rural schools through the eighth grade and the Buffalo Center High School where he graduated in 1941.
Harold graduated from barber school in Des Moines. He worked at many places before opening his own shop in Buffalo Center in 1958. Harold retired in 1988.
He is survived by a sister, Esther Alvey of Thompson; four brothers, Joe Heitland and wife Ruth of Buffalo Center, Alfred Heitland and wife Dorothy of Buffalo Center, Forrest Heitland and wife Alberta of Oelwein, and Huxley Heitland ofPhoenix, Arizona, and by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters." <>
