Note: Funeral for Edwin Harlan Ackerman, 84, of Worthington was April 7, from Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev Ronald McMenamin officiating and burial at Evergreen Lawn Cemetery, George, IA.Mr Ackerman died April 4 at Sibley. Edwinharlan Ackerman was born january 29, 1920 the son of PM and Anna (Symens) Ackerman. He attended the local school graduating from George High School.

He and Elinor Lehman were united in marriage June 14, 194o at George. They farmed at George, Rock Rapids, Inwood, and Bigelow before moving to Worthington in 1973 to become a salesman for agriproducts. He had been an elder at WestminsterPresbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, 1 son Larry Ackerman, North Adams, MI; 1 daughter Mary Lousie Longstreet, Cottage Grove, MN 6 grandchildrenl Michelle, Kimberly, Kerry , Brian, Kevin and Heather; his parents, 5 sisters Mrs Ted (Marie) Harmsand Mrs Leroy (Lavina) Lichtenberg both of George, Mrs Ivan (Phyllis) Krull, Doon, Mrs John (Eleanor) Hartley, Mason City, Mrs Gary (Ruthann) Haan, George, 3 brothers Merle, Woodbury, Lawrence, Denver, CO and David, Bloomington.
