They farmed at George, Rock Rapids, Inwood, and Bigelow beforemoving to Worthington in 1973. Edwin died on April 4, 1984. Elinor married Marion Weber on December 14, 1991 in Worthington. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church and was active in Circle and Three F's. Elinor died onMonday May 6, 1996 at the Osceoal Community Hospital in Sibley, IA.

Funeral services were held on Friday May 10, 1996 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington, MN. Burial was in the Evergrren Lawn Cemetery in George, IA. Elinor's grandchildren served as casketbearers.

Elinor is survived by her husband, Marion; 1 son Larry Ackerman and wife Kathie of North Adams, MI; 1 daughter Mary Louise and husband Warren Langstraat of Wassenaar, Netherlands; 1 stepson Roger Weber and wife Paula of Mesa, AZ; 2stepdaughters Karen and husband Merv Dirksen of Apple Valley, MN and Marian Luft of Eagan, MN; 6 grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 4 sisters Marian Farus of Scotland, SD, Lorraine Lentfer of George; Lora maeSchoneman of Garner, IA and Harriet Taylor of Cheraw, CO.
