Martha Ann Donlje. the daughter of Herman and Jenny (Troff) Dontje, was born September 8, 1934, in Gerled. Martha received her education in the Lcdyard and Buffalo Center schools, graduating from Buffalo Center High School in 1952. She also attended Iowa State Teacher's College in Cedar Falls, graduating with a teaching certificate.

On June 20, 1965, Martha was united in marriage to Jerome Millsap at the Reformed Church in Buffalo Center. The couple made their home in rural Esthcrville.

Martha taught school most of her adult life, teaching in the school"

Martha was a member of the United Methodist Church in Estherville and was also a Sunday School teacher.

Martha died on Friday, October 24. 1997 at Holy Family Health Services in Estherville.

She is survived by her husband, Jerome Millsap of Estherville; one daughter, Monica Millsap of St. Paul, Minnesota; her mother, Jenny Dontje of Buffalo Center; three brothers: John Dontjc and his wife, Leona, of Estherville; Arnold Dontje and his wife, Velma, of Buffalo Center; Donald Dontje mid his wife, Millie, of Forest City; two sisters: Deloris Kcttwick and her husband, Harold, of Buffalo Center;Janice Van Dcr Zwaag and her husband, Gary, of Hospers.
