"Bob Berhow, 74

Bob Berhow, 74 of Garner, Iowa died Sunday, May 27, 2007 under the care of Hospice at Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa in Mason City. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 30 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Buffalo Centerwith Pastor Perry Aalgaard officiating. Casketbearers were Corey Gregor, Andy Gregor, Don Wilson, Dallas Gregor, James Merriam and Sterling Meyer. Bural was at Olena Mound Cemetery in Buffalo Center. The Winter Funeral Home was incharge of arrangements.

Robert Dean Berhow was born on February 24, 1933 in Winnebago County, Iowa to Roy and Annie (Lamping) Berhow. Bob was baptized in the Lutheran Faith. He graduated from Buffalo Center High School. He farmed near Buffalo Center, worked in construction, and was later employed for 26 years at Winnebago Industries as a supervisor in the Weld Shop. He retired in 1995.

He married Viola Hagenson on March 25, 1953. This marriage was blessed with four children: Gescha, Madonna, Douglas and Tim. He was later divorced. Bob found the love of his life, Linda Burch, and they were married on December 17,1983. Bob enjoyed fishing, playing cards andcribbage, and watching and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed time at his lake home in Spirit Lake. Bob particularly enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren,and great-grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife, Linda Mae Berhow of Garner, his children: Gescha Schroader of Lake Mills, Madonna Merriam of Forest City, Douglas Robert Berhow and his wife, Janet of Forest City and Timothy Lee Berhow of Bayard, IA; hisgrandchildren: Cory Alan Gregor and his wife Emilie, Dallas Lynn Gregor, Andy Lee Gregor, Sharie Allen Hill, Angela Kay Merriam, Nicole Marie Merriam, James Thomas Merriam and Sarah Nicole Berhow; his great-grandchildren: Gaven AlanGregor, Graysen Dean Gregor, Jacob Ryan Merriam, Dylan Thomas Merriam, Madison Kay Merriam and Bryce Allen Merriam; his brothers: Donald Wayne Berhow of Buffalo Center, Jimmie Lee Berhow of Ames and Randy Roy Berhow and his wife, Mary, ofWatertown, MN; and many nieces nephews, and other relatives. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Tom and Cleo; his sister Shirley; and his granddaughter Dawn Lunning."
