'Merrill George Koos was born June 5, 1928 in York Township on the Jacob and George and Charles and Bertha Koos homestead, west of Delta, Ohio. He went to Haller school for eight years and graduated in 1947 from Delta High School, wherehe majored in agriculture and had a citizenship award. ... He had a stroke in the spring of March 18, 1975, which lift his left arm and leg paralyzed and spent two months in Fulton County Health Center. With therapy the leg soon cameback to where he could walk with a cane. ... (He hopes to return back to work soon.)

On July 4, 1950 he was married to Joan Schutzberg and had three children: Richard A., John Hand, and Norma J. He was divorced in August of 1968; he raised the three children alone.

In May of 1972, he met Lucinda M. Arnt of Toledo and she came to Delta. They were married December 25, 1973 in the Church of the Nazarene of Delta with Rev. Noah Wyatt as pastor. She had one child of a previous marriage Marie P. Currier.On September 11, 1974, born to Merrill and Lucinda Koos was a set of twon boys, Charles David and Merrill George Jr. ...'
