Question/answer » How do I upload many photos at once?

Do you have a whole folder of scans? You do not have to add them one by one. Family Archivist has a page for uploading several files at once.

How it works

1. Go to Upload multiple images.
2. Drag the files into the box, or click and choose them on your computer. JPG, PNG, GIF and PDF are allowed.
3. Enter a title. All files get this title with a sequence number, for example Grandma's album 1, Grandma's album 2.
4. Enter keywords if you like. They are added to all files.
5. Start the upload.

Afterwards

Every photo now has the same title and keywords, but no description of its own yet. Go through the photos and fill in per photo what is on it. You do not have to do this all at once. You can also ask the family to help: participants can respond to every photo.

Mind the order

The photos appear in the order in which you upload them. Want to change the order later? With a Plus subscription you can, via Order of images.
