Keywords are the way to organise your archive. When several people add keywords, duplicates sometimes appear. For example wedding and Wedding and marriage. As archivist you can tidy that up. This is a feature of the Plus subscription.

How to manage keywords

  1. Go to Tags in the management menu. You see all keywords of photos and stories, with the number of times they are used.
  2. Click Edit next to a keyword to rename it. All photos with that keyword automatically get the new name.
  3. Click Delete to take a keyword away from all photos and stories. This cannot be undone.

Merging

Want to merge marriage with wedding? Rename marriage to wedding. The photos then get the same keyword.

Tip

Agree a few fixed keywords with the family and put them in a news item. Then the overview stays tidy.
