    Henry G. Mouw was born May 31, 1883 in Fond-du-Lac county, Wis., and passed away suddenly Wednesday, October 8, 1952, near Hull. When yet a boy Mr. Mouw moved to Sioux County with his parents. He was united in marriage to Miss Anna Teeslink on February 8, 1911, at Hospers. To this union were born two sons, Gerrit and James, and two daughters, Frances, Mrs. Evert Van Veldhuizen, and Eunice, Mrs. Gerrit Hospers.

    After farming near Orange City a few years, the family moved to a farm near Hull. Mrs. Mouw preceded him in death September 11, 1943. Mr. Mouw retired in Hull and was united in marriage to Mrs. Mary Brunsting in 1946, who with his children, survive him.

    Other relatives who mourn his passing are one step daughter Mrs. Alvin Wolfswinkel; fifteen grandchildren; three brothers, Evert and Jake Mouw of Orange City and John Mouw of Maurice; four sisters, Mrs. Ella Duistermars of Orange City, Mrs. Anna De Jong and Mrs. Hubert De Jong of Maurice and Mrs. Dick Kreykes of Sioux Center.

    Funeral services were held October 11 at 1 o'clock at the home and 1:30 at the First Reformed church in charge of his pastor, Rev. Wm. De Jong, who delivered a very good message text from Matthew 24:44, "Therefore be ye also ready; for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of Man cometh!"

    Mr. and Mrs. Willis Brouwer sang "Jesus is Mine" accompanied by Mrs. John Douma. It was requested that no flowers be brought. Beautiful sprays covered the casket. A memorial gift of $55 was received from relatives, friends and neighbors. $50 was designated to Cook Training School and $5 was given to the Foreign Mission.

    Pallbearers were Messr's Peter De Groot, John T. Smit, Albert Meendering, Gerrit Van Surksum, Henry De Jong and Otto Bouma.
