Frederik van Egmond, heer van IJsselstein, graaf van Buren en van Leerdam.

Raadslid-kamerheer van Karel de Stoute.
Floris bleef de Bourgondiers steunen.
1481 baljuw en slotvoogd van Schoonhoven.
Streed tegen de Stichtenaren die zijn slot ijn IJsselstein bedreigden.
Overwon in 1483 de Stichtenaren, die toen moesten accepteren dat er een Bourgondisch garnizoen in Utrecht gelegerd werd. Dat garnizoen stond onder bevel van Floris.
Nam in 1484 Amersfoort in.
1486 baljuw van Gooiland en slotvoogd van Muiden.
Voerde in maart 1488 ee legertje aan dat naar Brugge trok om Maximiliaan te ontzetten/bevrijden.
Moest in 1492 Wageningen (zijn laatste bolwerk in Gelre) ontruimen.
Als heer van IJsselstein sinds 1468 regelmatig opgeroepen om deel te nemen aan de vergaderingen vanm de Hollandse Staten.
Floris stond op goede voet met de Utrechtse bisschop Davis van Bourgondië.
Zijn grote vijand van Jan van Montfoort.
