E: Arend heer van Egmond, Heer van Egmond en IJsselstein, geboren circa 1340, overleden op 09-04-1409, begraven in Klooster IJsselstein, raadsheer van Albrecht van Beieren vanaf 1372, aanhanger der Kabeljauwen, verwierf 11 augustus 1398 de heerlijkheden van Ameland en het Bilt in leen (zie van Mieris, III, 686), voerde in 1400 het bevel over de Hollandse troepen die naar Friesland togen, doch stond bij de Hoekse Graaf Willem VI niet in de gunst. Gehuwd met Jolanda gravin van Leiningen, overleden op 24-04-1434, begraven te Domin.klooster Den Haag, dochter van Frederik en Johanna van Gulik.
